Which interface to get

I am looking for 8 input mic interface.
Which is better, focusrite 18i20 or tascam us1800?
Which one has better sound (the mic pre)?

Or are there others that will better them?

Any of them will probably work fine...no to be flippant but its your skills.
Even the cheaper ones are proven to sound good these days.

Heres an old discontinued UX8 Line 6...used in a CD release 2009. 24bit in 2009 is the same as 24bit in 2019.
