Last night Reaper froze/stuttered on me, all I had was EZD2 running. 2 weeks ago it did it to me a few times for no apparent reason. I had to shutdown and reboot to get it going as it wouldnt' shut down.
There's an update available today. I'm going to install it and see if anything improves.

Thanks for your considered comments and your praise, Rob! In fact, I've been tweaking Moose's vocal up this week as I've been tinkering with the mix and I'm just about there now, If Reaper would run properly. :cursing: Yes, it's a Cabasa sample in the right speaker. It IS too loud, because it's an unsatisfactory sample with not enough definition to it and the "shake" is too long. This is why I've ordered a real one to replace that track. :D

My Afuche/Cabasa came today - I can draw a line under this at the weekend.:guitar:

Ok, this is my final posting of this track. Me and my kid added two tracks of real Afuche/Cabasa to the percussion section today, so as far as I'm concerned it's mastered and finished. :)

Please enjoy this "over-inflated zeppelin of a mix". Great description! :D

Well I spent some time processing the vocals and finally wrapped it up so here's what I managed (using whatever instrumental I had at the time. I think it's been updated since...). Nothing crazy, just some EQ, compression, melodyne panning and that's pretty much it. I probably should've done more i.e. compress the track as a whole afterwards but this is your mix and I was just trying to fine-tune the vocals a bit since the stems I sent you last time were all over the place :)

Here's the version I have with the new vocals:

Bubba, I'll send you a dropbox to the stems if you care at all to mess with them. In either case, it's been a pleasure!

I also still have lots of work to do regarding getting the hang of my Renaissance channel (namely the compressor) and learning how to get the most of it...

Hi, I like the melodyned vocals in the choral part, and I like the Panic, Vomit, too. I think I must've lost that stem! That is a quite early mix - I think I sent you a 24 bit .wav of a much later mix than that that would've been better. :D I'll have those stems if you don't mind. :)

Thanks again!
