OverLoading Bass and Drums - Taacam DP24

Even with the TRIM totally down, it still receive signal and OvLoad some times. Why it doesn't close totally, and why it overloads?
Should I configure always the conpressors?
 
This is a levels' problem. Compression' or limiting isn't the first go-to solution.
You might need to put a pad in line between the mic and input-an in line attenuator, or the mic's pad if it has one.

Hello, please what do you mean with a pad?
For example the bass guitar go directly through a DI.
Maybe you are just talking about the Drums?
