Try changing your microphone placement. If you place it at chest height you should get a little bit more bass coming from your chest, making your vocals sound 'fuller'
This one is new to me.
Since, we are talking about blankets and I have always been fond of blankets since my favorite blanky growing up. Outside of not being great, but yes usable for some level of sound treatment, I have a recent story that adds one sound blanket anecdote.
I have a few I think Audiomute sound blankets that are fine, effective? somewhat. But, I bought a bunch of the cheap moving blankets, the ones with the stitching look to them. I was using some as stuffing for some things and I had some extras and figured, oh I will cover the each of windows (a bay window style) behind my drum kit as a layer in front of a wall of Absorption and other treatment I have in front. So you could not see the blankets from inside. Well, two windows had blinds, the middle big one did not and the blanket was acting like a curtain. Well, 9 months later, never remove the sound panels, but did to add a barrier layer and to my "excitement" I found the sun light had basically disintegrated the fabric of the blanket and it was now all black dust everywhere, but worse was the smell of burning or like it was singed or melted off over time. I mean I knew they were;t fireproof or retardant, but never thought about the effects of direct sun! Glad I found it then at least.
Anyways, no more of that Sh1tty stuff in my home, I means still use blankets to sleep but.......
Maybe unrelated but since blankets were brought up figured I mention my most recent run in with moving blankets and u better bet the next time I see one........................
