Got a boo-boo at a gig

Was moving some staging into place and pinched the tip of my middle finger of the right hand.
The 4x8 stage is about 200Lbs. Causing my fingertip to EXPLODE. The blood was everywhere.
Even though it was a bum puckering experience I just bandaged it up for ... The show must go on!

Where is the picture! This is America and we love(and revel), in blood, gore, and violence! Give us our fix!
 
I was way to busy to snap a picture.
Now it looks nothing like it did the day that it happened.

I was working with my nephew. At the time he was a national act (he still could be, but he has really screwed it up), and we were loading in. He was helping and on this show, it was just him as the act, no band. For that reason, I told him he couldn't load. The other guy with me was like crying about how that was BS. I told them both, look, if anything happens to this his hands, we are done. I thought it was obvious.

One of those things you have to be really careful about.

I was bare handed at the time too.
I don't think that gloves would have helped all that much.

Put a wet flannel on it and get your woman to give you a big booby hug.
Works for me every time.

The worst thing about it all, Rich ..... That particular finger was part of my morning constitution bum wiping. :laughings:
 
Blood blister has fallen off and the new skin is very tender. :eek:
