Dear,
I've been using Tri-capture Audio Interface for months. There's nothing to complain about it but since I change my headphone to another one with no volume controller on it then I realize that I can't control the volume to my headphone by the volume controller of the interface anymore. That means I just can control the volume of sound by the fader of Window or any music/software. Eventhough I turn the output of the Interface to zero, it still plays music with the volume that window provides.
I remember I still could control it but I don't know when or how it turned to this situation  I even try to reinstall driver for many times but it doesn't help.
Sorry for my English.
Thank you for reading and have a nice day :)

I have always thought that headphone controls in AI's are a simple stereo pot in the path to the amp? Maybe they do it by software control but it seems a bit daft if so.

Assuming it to be an analogue control the only way this fault could occur is if the earth return from the bottom of the track somehow became open circuit.
I would email Roland support (probably have to fill in a 3 page form and give the iris colour of your paternal grandmother!)

Dave.

If you are able to control the volume using the main Windows volume, then you're probably using the wrong driver. Are you able to select an ASIO driver for your device?

Haha
Yea, thank you. ^^
I become to think that it's the hardware problem. Basically I can't use this analog control anymore

Sorry that I don't have enough 10 post for a direct link

Thank you for reading. The device has its driver installed right :)

If your headphones are plugged into the PHONES output and that knob does not change the volume, then its a hardware problem. Sounds like its always been this way, but you never noticed it because your previous headphones had a volume control that you used instead? If its still under warranty, get it replaced!
