Why would a car USB port stop the sound at 3:51?

I just noticed this last night, thumb drives plugged into the usb port, the audio stops- at this same time. The counter continues.
I tried two different drives, songs from two different projects- and imported a few of them back into the DAW because the obvious guess would be I'd find a flat line' for some reason at that point from the original mix export.

:wtf:
Anybody heard of this? Did some google' but so far no thing..

One thing to make sure is that the file being played is at the rate that is supported by the player. You'll have to get the owners manual out. For example, MP3's at a bit rate of 192 or higher may not be supported. I suspect this is probably the case, unsupported rate but the software is playing it, just can't process the audio out.

Ok thanks I'll check that. Odd that it would play the first almost four minutes though. (16bit waves BTW

Same file? That is strange. If it is a file that just stops , then it could be the file was corrupted during the copy. Try replacing the file with a new copy.

I do appreciate your help, but like I said -two different drives from two dif projects. Even imported back into a third project they played fine so..

Just helping to try different things, now you're into troubleshooting mode. Try converting the file into an MP3 see if you get the same problem.

Is it s dodge/Chrysler product? Their usb is a little goofy. It expects an ipod, so in order to have it work all the time, the thumb drive needs to have the directory structure of an ipod. Its kind of stupid.

Whoa !
How did you know that? ..;)
Damn. It's a 'Caravan..
Ok, Thank you Sir It's back to McGoogle :guitar:

I have a 2011 Dodge Charger. It's all over the charger forum. Too bad there isn't a caravan forum.

If you Google usb problem dodge, or something like that, you will find those forums and the solutions. Even though it can still be a little sketchy.
