Maxin' - iLLFolk [Hip Hop - Feedback Appreciated]

Hi all,

I have finished a first go [using monitor headphones, as it is super late so my parents are asleep] at this mix for my band's newest song, Maxin'. I look forward to your feedback and thank you in advance for your time! We've got studio monitors finally so we want to rerecord some songs so we can share them with confidence haha.

Well, first of all I just want to say, I dig the track as far as the rapping goes. You guys got some skittles.

I did think the mix was a little low, but I'll let someone who really knows their shit elaborate on that.

Keep doing it, bruh.

Thanks a lot man. I truly appreciate the feedback. I ended up sending the mix out to a limited group of others and have since upped the vocals and it's sounding really sweet now! I hope this gets plenty of spins.

I here no mid and the high seems pretty harsh. Seems like that the highs should be rolled off and see if you can't get some mid in there (just to balance the highs).

I have a sub woofer and I did not hear any thumping. I think for this genre you might want to bring your sub bass up.

Can't comment on the tune itself as this is not my area of music taste.
