If i'm using a mic to record vocals would i be able to use a regular vocal mic or do i have to still use a diaphram mic?
And it would be used in a studio but JUST for vocals.

All microphones have a "diaphragm" or they would not work.

It all depends on what you are recording and the sound you want.

Normally a large diaphragm condenser mic. (LDC) is used to record vocals, as opposed to a small diaphragm condenser (SDC), though the later have been used successfully for this on many occasions.

Although stage vocal dynamic microphones are not often used for recording, they can be used to great effect - it just depends on the sound you want.

A condenser mic. has a much lighter diaphragm than a dynamic mic. and more accurately follows the waveform.

I hope this helps.
