Working from memory here, I don't know if the DX-4D is compatible with the 22-4?
I seem to remember a different model number of dbx noise reduction being listed as the matching unit for it.
If you have the manual, that would answer the question.
Also, the hook up you've documented in the picture doesn't look even close to being the recommended way of doing that. So I'm not sure if you've problem is from that as well.
Basically, you need to get a hold of the 22-4 manual and follow its directions for using external noise reduction. That much is key.
alright i find the solution
dbx 4d is not compatible with Tascam 22-4L (or maybe there is a problem with the signal connector on mine)
to make it possible i just mod it like in this site: arafel.org/audio/dx4d/mod.html
now it works fine !
