am i on the wrong forum?

So I'm trying out new forum sights to expand my knowledge and what not. I make electronic music my daw of choice fl studio for two years now. My question is, Is this a sight for this type of thing? Or am i barking up the wrong tree? It seems that this sight is for bands etc?
 
I'm new to this site, but it seems to be about anything recording. I'd stick to this forum for a little while until you get a somewhat decent understanding of things! What else are you working with or is it just FL Studio?
 
It's a cross-genre recording board. You might find others that are more specifically about electronic music, but there are certainly some electronic musicians here. You'll learn stuff here, for sure. Depends upon what you want to know.
 
Just bark up any tree you like. One of them's bound to have something in it. Ask your questions. There are heaps of people here willing to help

I agree. I just came to this forum a few weeks ago, and I've received an immeasurable amount of help.

Most of my questions had nothing to do with audio recording directly, but there were tons of people willing to help. I've even asked a few stupid questions that, I'm sure, returned a chuckle from some of the senior members. :D

actually this site has very little to do with bands.
 
Just to clarify since everyone's so prickly these days ... what i meant is that this is primarily a site about recording. While there are some forums that also deal with playing there is generally very little on this site about bands per se.

Oh and I did mean to point out that 'sight' is spelled 'site' in this instance of usage.

This is a fantastic site with very knowledgeable people. I write/record/produce songs all by me' lonesome and this forum has been an extremely valuable resource for my one-man-band-self trying to find my way around my DAW and train my ears. Now, keep in mind that my music isn't necessarily typical but it was/is met with inspiring enthusiasm by HR's members as I'm sure yours will be, also. Welcome aboard! (Should you decide to stick around, that is.)
