Nothing fancy here. Haven't done any open tuning stuff in a while so I broke out the 3/4" socket to see what would happen.
This came together pretty quick for a change so I didn't mess around with it. Any comments or suggestions on the tune or the mix greatfully received.

The guitars really dominate - if there's a bass in tehre it's either treated or MIA. I'd like to hear a bit more of it - give it some definition.
the slide bits sounded a little tentative in the 1st minute but then sounded sorted after that.
Good stuff.

I love it. Yeah, if there is a bass guitar, I can't make it out. Maybe that is the lower fuzz part towards the end (love that sound whatever it is).

The drums could probably come up some in relation to the guitars (which sound awesome by the way).

I find when mixing that bass gets lost in distorted guitars, not sure why that is.....
YMMV but I'm still learning....
Fun tune - just full out thrashing and slid work. I like it!

I kept waiting for the vocals to kick in, sounds pretty sweet.

Interesting that you'd put a slide guitar into this sort of music. That's a pretty cool idea.

Some of the transitions between guitar tones (e.g. 1:32) are a bit choppy.

excellent stuff...cant really comment on the mix as I have a cold (went to the desert and caught a cold, go figure)

just wanted to say I loved in...real energy, reminded me of racer X by Big Black....does sound a bit like it unfinished, some wild vocal samples would really move it up...though saying that as a driving soundtrack it works well too

really enjoying your new direction :thumbs up:

Pretty cool. I love the driving simplicity of it. I too am missing the bass. It starts rather suddenly, like the very first few milliseconds didn't get bounced out or something. Awesome though.

Great tune, it certainly sounded post apocalyptic to me. Now I have an overwhelming desire to watch Mad Max. :D

Cheers Ray. Yes there is a bass but during recording when I unplugged the lead from the guitar & stuck it in the bass, being in the zone & all I neglected to bypass the distortion pedal. Thanks for the listen

Heh yes that horrendous buzzing noise you're hearing towards the end is actually the bass. Thanks for the comments heat

Yes I find a bit of distortion on bass can help separate it from the guitars. This is obviously the exception that proves the rule. Cheers ido

Yeah I've adjusted the fades at that transition, think it's smoother now. Thanks Vomit

Heh thanks kc. Not sure if this is a new direction, probably more of a short cut down a dark alley

Yeah I've added an intro bar before the start so the onset is less sudden. Thanks for the spin Greg

Thanks a lot man. Not a bad movie that, but I always thought Max could have been a bit madder
