Would it be possible to give less information regarding your equipment and what you're recording on?

Can you hear the voice on ordinary playback ?

Have you read and understood the manual ?
My first digital recorder, I got rid of partly because when bouncing tracks, you couldn't hear the rest of the music, only what you were bouncing. In retospect, I realize that this was impossible and daft on my part. I was obviously doing something wrong and hadn't understood the manual because you need to hear something in order to know where to bounce.
So in your case, there must be a simple solution. Check the manual and follow it step by step.

I don't know that software but typically you need to select the monitoring on for a track if you want to hear what's actually on it (plug in, previous takes, etc) while recording on it. Otherwise you are only monitoring (direct) your input and the tracks that are playing back (not armed for recording)
