I walk the line
The dude has still got more chops in his sleep than I could ever dream of having. If I could just get the tone he had on 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', I'd happily die of starvation in my basement, because I'd never put the guitar down. Did a really cool version of 'Black Hole Sun' too.

I know, this might be seen as more of a Cave post, but I just thought I'd put it here as a recommendation to younger (which is most of you, I realize) guitarists. Go see him if you get the chance. If you think you'll be going to see a has-been Boomer pop-star, you will be more than pleasantly surprised. He will school ya'.

And as I recommended to him when I got his autograph, if he were to ever do a jam with Robin Trower, it would be the ultimate nirvana, because they could just feed off of each other for hours.

Check out Bowie's Glass Spiders video. Frampton was in that band. They've known each other since they were schoolboys.

Within the last month or so there was a story on NPR about him getting his Les Paul back that was assumed to be destroyed in a plane crash over 30 years ago (which is about how long ago I last saw him play).

Yeah, he says that when he lost his mojo was the same time the guitar was lost. When he felt he was getting his mojo back, the guitar reappeared. Not only is it the guitar he's famous for, but it's his 'The One' guitar, the one we're all looking for. He's definitely got his mojo back, and you can tell how much he loves playing that guitar, like he just doesn't want to stop.

Great Player! I was very happy to hear he got his guitar back after all those years!

I would love to see Frampton live, just recently I got some of the early Humble Pie live albums and was impressed how Frampton had his signature sound way back in the early 1970's! He is very unique and original and that Bowie Glass Spider concert is a definite must see video.

I saw the Glass Spiders tour .... great show.
Had no idea Frampton was in that.

I've seen him with Humble Pie and Frampton's Camel. God I feel old.

Unfortunately, when I saw Humble Pie, it was just after he'd left. It was OK, though, because they were awesome.

(Pssssst! Just so you know, you are old.)
