Slate- Where the enginner records at the begiining of the track the name of the tune and take number.
And I really thought the crowd I hang with used the term "let's tune up". Ya can't play till you tune.

"Is there enough click in your headphones?"

Generally said to a drummer or bassist when their timing is so bad you're ready to walk in the other room and jam a metronome up their ass.

Word up hommes! My new rap mic is the sh!ts bro. Only cost this cat a Benjamin. = I really, really like my new T-pain microphone. With built in autotune, usb port etc. etc. ..... You can get one at walmart for $59.99

Sounds great but my recording studio budget is $50.00!!

Can you guys elaborate on your magic fader? Is this a serious studio practice? Lol...I like it.

Yeh,lol. I have one.

It's just a fader that isn't actually assigned to anything.
When anyone says "It sounds great but can you turn my part up" you reach for the DFA.

It's even better when you let them do it themselves but that's risky business.

There's very little more satisfying than hearing "ahh that's better" from a guy who's just done absolutely nothing to the mix.

Now that's a good one!

Lmao That just reminded of talking to my Dad when he suddenly remembers something from ages ago.
No offense dude.

May as well have a look. I got everything else on there.

You know in all fairness Paul I bet that T-pain microphone has a real purpose as a novelty on a track for a song and the first person to have a good hook for it will become a gazillioniar.

IDK, the Johnny Walker thing. Just seemed to come outta nowhere, lol.

I wonder if you can un-auto tune a track without having the original file.. Ooooh man, that would be great! :D
