Cubase 5 Mixing Help

Step 1: Start with one track, learn what compression will do to it. Learn what a flanger and a chorus and a delay will do to it. Learn what a send will do to it.

Step 2: Add another track. Make the 2 tracks sound good together. Pan them, eq them so they don't fight with each other, listen, listen, listen.

Go to Step 2, wash hands, rinse and repeat until you have a song finished. I forgot about Step 0, which is to have an idea of how you want the final mix to sound like.

Dood, this place 'is' a free book/tutorial for mixing. Recording is not a trade full of standards like plumbing or electrical. There are no standard sizes, specs, or how to videos that work with everything. Mixing is a learned trade, based upon experience alone, in particular genres. You ask vague questions that have no answer, other than someone using their experience to do it for you. Books and tutorials can put you in the right direction, but nobody.....I REPEAT......NOBODY can tell another how to mix. It just is not possible.
