If you look into the history of this particular section of the BBS you'll find it is repeatedly used by people to get hit points or get to #1 on S/click even if the post does ask for opinion the context sometimes points elsewhere. Those who've been around long enough know and recognize this trend.
Perhaps some clarification as to exactly what the Hip Hop Forum is meant to achieve would be useful as would a similar assessment of all the sections of the BBS.
"Judging music when it is not your genre, is just ridiculous." I can't believe you wrote that. Take some time & think about the whole Homerecording thing. Are you serioulsy asking people to stay within strict genre boundaries with their critiques and commentaries. The extrapolation from this is more than a little ironic given your previous staements. Think before, as and after you type & definitely before you click submit.
On an entirely different level however:
A moderator who feels that someone has overstepped the mark ought to contact that person discretely and enter into a little dialogue, suggest they cool off etc.
There are many strategies that could have been employed by a moderator on the ball; calling someone out publicly isn't one of them.
Moderating is difficult and calls for moderation, mediation, modification, mollification and a modicum of calm.
Making judgement calls without reference to history, repetition and context is guaranteed to raise the temperature not lower it.
HD, sorry - I've listened to you stuff a few time actually. It's hard to get beyond the HD Productions voice stamp on some occassions. I think you should supply more details about what you've done with a piece: where your samples come from, who came in to do the vox etc just to make it a little more open and involving. The streamer on your page isn't too flash so a move to soundcloud or MP3 Lightning etc would up the quality a bit as well.
