I currently use a Tascam US-144 MKII Audio/Midi interface. I am thinking of incorporating a Behringer XENYX 1204FX Mixer/Audio interface into my setup. The Behringer comes with its own USB ASIO drivers. My question is am I able to use these 2 different audio interfaces on my PC or will it mess things up? Sorry, I'm not much of a techhie!

I'm sure you can, but why use both and not just the mixer/ai?

if its just f0r that i dont see why not.. logically i dont think you should do both at same time, but i have zero experience with this. I was just saying from a computer stand point

I think MIDI is a separate driver so you should be able to use MIDI on one and ASIO on the other.

asio ( the low-latency drivers you WANT to use) = ONE device driver at a time.

Plus every device has its own crystal clock in it that beats just a tiny bit different
from every other one, so audio will tend to drift after a while.

You can generally only use multiple interfaces from the SAME manufacturer
and only if they run under one instance of the same driver.

What I really want to be able to do is just to use the Behringer mixer solely as a piece of hardware (without installing its drivers). Do you think I'd be able to do that?

Sure, just pan the Behri outputs far L/R to allow separate track recording. Connect the main outs to your mkII line inputs.

I am curious what you are recording that has you wanting to use a mixer. :D
