distortion pedal wanted

I'm not sure this is even possible with my current rig? I'd be willing to try it tho. I'm still learning this new amp, and all I've learned is that I don't know anything about ohms, and the MT-2 sounds a lot better in front of a solid state amp
did you say you had a Valve Jr.? If so then no ...... it's not applicable. Just go into the front end.

Well, like you said, your amp doesn't even have an fx loop, I was just trying to clarify what I was trying to say.

plus that's one of those things that even knowledgable experienced players don't agree on. So when a time comes that you have an amp with an FX loop you'll just have to make up your own mind.
Like I said, I don't like it but I don't really believe in rules when it comes to making music.
 
I've had amps with FX loops before, got a Peavey something or other that has one, and never really fooled around with them. may be something worth trying
