All I really have to say is: Thankyou to all of the active members of this forum. You guys have all been very helpful, and instrumental ( lol, get it ), throughout the process of me going from Level 0, to Level 1. Some of the various questions that have been answered by your guys range from ; " My cd wont play in my car", to " after normalizing, and adjusting the volume envelope..." blah blah blah.

The moral of the story is that you guys have helped to steer me in a direction where I can record with confidence. Though I didnt appreciate it at first, thanks guys for not dumbing down the answers. What I mean is that I started out so lost, that I didn't understand half of the terms you MFers were using. Which made me explore my DAW to see what you were talking about.

Annnyways.... Just wanted to get that off my chest...lol... you guys will be joining me as I attempt to get to level 2...haha

I hope so, I just transitioned from Dreading recording ( a little bit ) because it seemed like no matter what I did, it sounded bad; to being excited about recording, because I know that I have control EVVVERYTHING...mwahahahaha

Should we tell him now that there is 312 levels of recording till you master recording ... or wait and let him figure it out on his own. :p

There are 313 levels. You forgot about the hidden Bonus Level after Level 256.

Hey, Im beter than I was yesterday... What more could a guy want!

I like these kinds of threads. I remember first starting out and thought I knew what I needed to do... until I started reading here.... and then listening to other people's material and knew I was lacking severely. There's so much to learn. :(

I think I'm further along on the time axis but not that high on the knowledge axis.

Yeah, you're right. That curve is what we should be doing, but the reality is probably the inverse. Take a long time to learn a little here and there, then suddenly something clicks and it starts making sense.

I couldn't get photoshop to edit the picture for some weird reason. Eh, not worth the effort. :)

haha photoshop is the most complicated program I've ever used. But it is rewarding once you learn it.
