signed up for the forum 2 days ago and finally got cleared today.
anyhow, hello to everyone.

i'm going to see if there's a forum that's appropriate to find somebody familliar with the Zoom R16 and how to add effects to dry tracks.

se you 'round.

Welcome, Frankie! :)

There isn't a Zoom specific forum here, but you'll probably get an answer right here in the ol' n00b forum.

While I'm not completely familiar with the zoom, I think the best bet is to download your tracks to your computer and add you effects there. I believe the Zoom ships with Cubase which is what I suggest you use for mixing.

There are some people here who use the Zoom, but havent' seen them around lately.

Welcome to the site.

Don't know anything about it, but glad to see another 53 year old here!

Welcome.

thanks people,
used to do home recording years ago with a fostex 4-track and a tascam reel-to-reel. been busy with life and decided to get back into it with the zoom.
guess i'll throw a post up here and see if it works. tried it on the digital recording and computer forum, but nothing yet.
happy 4th!

Congrats on the similar history to me, youngster. :) I started recording bands in the mid '70's and decided a couple of years ago to try again, after MANY years off. My first recording was with an Ampex consumer machine, then a Teac 3340 and Tascam 80-8. I loved doing it and then got hired away from myself by my equipment supplier. I'm not familiar with the gear you are speaking of, but you can take a look at one of my old recordings and some newer ones here if you would like: 2. Location Audio Services | Richard King Media It's all live concert recording (one national band from the '70's, the rest local bands the last couple of years).

53? Young whippersnapper! Welcome from another Massachusettian!

thanks everyone,
just found the setting today that lets me know people have been responding to my threads... i was beginning to get a complex.

was referred to the zoom forum in another thread, and thanks mixsit for the backup.
i'll save that video too arcadeko. thank you very much.

looks like i came to the right place!

Boy, that's a relief! I've invested too much time in this place to find out it's the wrong place.

A residual smart ass-ness from a long weekend of good wholesome fun at the expense of stupid people. :) You are not in this category Frankie btw. Nice to meet you man. Tho I am tempted to say something I think is funny as well. We kid a lot here.

Anyway, welcome to the forum man. Enjoy!

Jimmy

Yeah, just clowning around, Frankie. Welcome aboard! :D
