Just for fun I dug out some of the various versions I recorded and mixed over the last 5 1/2 years. Various equipment and players. Cassette to ADAT to Computer to Mastering.

20051215 - cassette guitar/vocals sent to Phil Traynor who added bass and Vdrums and he mixed it.

Interesting to see how things change over 5 years...wonder what the next 5 years will bring to the world of recording?!

Gerry,
Really interesting to hear the cassette/Phil version. The song is still completely there as a def. YES.
The rest, as they say, is incremental history dopwn to its current mastered magnificence.
Thanks for the hsitory.

Really cool to hear the 'evolution' of this song. Cool tune as well, makes me think a little of ZZ Top. Sounds really good.

Cool stuff, Gerry!
I've revisited a couple of my older songs too, it's interesting to see how one's abilities improve over the years.

I'm predicting flying cars and time travel.

Gerry, I remember growing up and believing that we would actually be living in the world of the Jetsons...

I really do like that raw rocking quality of the cassette version, it has a nice fiery quality that gets to the point. Some of the later version seem to have quite a bit of compression-but it's been a well written & performed all through the processes.

Sounds awesome, Gerry. Very interesting going through the evolution. Thanks for sharing, dude!

Thanks for the listens and comments. I've had fun learning and gettting better (I hope lol) over the years.... I've had lots of help from lots of great people!
