Thanks for the info Zee. May have to try something like that, although like you said, it may be a pita.

I shot some pics of the pot in case anyone is still interested. Also, added a few shots of my small studio, just for the hell of it.

I'm sure how to attach this stuff, so, hope it works. Bear with me.:)

I was stunned to find that Tascam in LA has some pots in stock. Check with them.

Also Google "potentiometer" and you'll come up w/incredible info.

Look up also CTS electrocomponents.

Forgot to include the link! http://www.ctscorp.com/components/potentiometers.htm

I was very surprised to find how much is available in the field of "pot"s!!!

Studio looks great. Put more of those corver blocks along the ceiling line and you'll cure more multiple harmonics.

I did a whole facility for Lawrence Livermore Lab in a very high security area and, in part, used a good amount of fabric covered fiberglass blocks to rid harmonics.

Fine Columbian? I doubt that.

If you want the best you want Sno County homegrown. Indica or Sour Diesal.

Actually, I had just fiinished listening to some Steely Dan, "The Cuervo Gold....The Fine Columbian.......". Just kinda popped in my head.

Thanks for the info GCalo. Will check it out.

Sorry if I missed this...but you DID check with Carvin right?

BTW, great looking studio. Fully outfitted with all the elements of a full-scale facility in a convenient package!

What kind of drums are those?

this seller got those dual 250K A and 10K B (s) , link:

directly from Hong Kong ...heh heh :p
looks like you have a good idea about "construction" of those pots so it should not be too hard to do the swap for you and make up one 10/250 pot :)

you can find them somewhere else, I am pretty sure,
those are "commonly" sold as guitar / pedal / amp pots (sometimes listed as "Marshall amp potentiometer") , so you can look in some guitar/pedals/amps parts on-line stores too , google it :)

Yea, I called Carvin and they said they don't have record any more of what type of pots were in there. Basically, he said they couldn't help me. Was nice about it though.

Thanks for the complement on the studio. Although its fully fuctional it's still a work in progress, of course.

Sonor Drums. They sound really good to me. I'm not a drummer but had a "real" drummer come over and tune them up for me and have gotten some pretty good compliments about the sound from other drummers. I think the room sounds pretty decent too and, of course, that helps. The room doesn't sound "great", yet, but pretty good.
