please if any one has the help video to download would be great

thats not mastering, you mean you cant mix a track properly..theres a tascam and mixing forum where people may be able to help

What you are talking about is Mixing, not Mastering.

Do you have an ASIO driver? If not, then google it and download ASIO4all.

And what comes next all depends on what you are trying to do, and what you are recording.

Actually, he may be sort of talking about mastering. The 2488 has a "mastering" function. Since the OP mentions that he set his IN and OUT points, he might have already mixed his song, because you have to set the IN and OUT points for mastering, but you don't when you're mixing.

Johnyboy, I don't have the mk2, but I have the original 2488. It has a "Pre-mastering" function that probably works like the "mastering" function in the mk2. Once you go into the "mastering" mode, all you should need to do is press RECORD and PLAY and it should "master" your track. Of course, I'm assuming that you've already mixed the song.

lol...oops :)

sorry OP, its pretty common for folks to get them wrong and then just be ignored..try the anologue forum, some geezer in his pipe an slippers will know whats going on :D

The TASCAM 2488 is not analogue.

It's a digital machine.

If anything, ask in the TASCAM forum.

Man, and all those MEs say mastering is uber hard to do right. Who knew that this is all you have to do :D
