Well like all guitars, there's good ones and bad ones in the same line. I lucked out and got a good one.

Like I said I aint gonna weep too much, it plays and sounds good, so it could be a lot worse.

I guess we all have our own idea of what a sexy guitar is. Strats and full bodied acoustics for me.

Yeah, I like my guitars like I like my women- zaftig!

Hey! Just like women! 'Course, I don't know you, Greg, so I can't be sure you "lucked out and got a good (woman.)" I sure know I did.

You MUST have known this was coming...

It's a strong argument BUT, a guitar doesn't have a pussy. However, being a guitar player can help get you some.

I don't love my strat. And I wish I'd bought a hard tail. Tremolo is ghey.

well ..... tremelo is part of the strat sound though even if you don't use it. Just put on a couple more springs and it'll stay in tune.
But the tremlo provides a bit of a built in reverb and that accounts for part of the strat sound. Check for yourself ...... hit a chord real hard and cut it off ..... just a quick chop. You'll hear those springs ring briefly like a 'verb.

Yeah, but i don't like that strange boing sound coming from my Strat. Some sound better than others. So i put a flat piece of rubber under the springs. I don't use the tremolo bar, i like to bend the crap out of the strings manually.

:laughings:

How'd that work out for you?

I got an extra throw-off... think I could use it on my Strat?

Fo sho. Those silly Drop-Tuna bridges, or whatever they're called, are kind of like a guitar throwoff.

I have no use for drop-D tuning though.

I was never a Strat fan.
For single coils, give me a Tele over a Strat any day.

You obviously haven't hung out with bloody awkward Peavey Reactors, mate ! You should hear them bitching about V shapes and Sunbursts......

Depends on what you play and what kind of strat you buy. I play Clapton-ish stuff on my Clapton strat. I've played everything from Prince to Van Halen on my hardtail in the 80's...it's retired now.

I don't play single coil guitars. Strats never did anything for me.. they seem boring.

*ducks head*

ALL guitars have their own individual charms.
I like 'em all.

Yep. Got my Strat for strat tones, Tele for tele tones, and a Gibson Smartwood for Les Paul tones.

There is something to be liked by just about all the major styles of guitars.
