I spent a couple of days straight re-mixing this thing, and I think I did a lot of really good things. Much less of that screechy, low-passed sound, firmer low-end, and volume automation galore. Please do me a favor and check this out/give me some feedback, I'd really appreciate it! I think this is the best thing I've done thus-far, and I need to know if it translates everywhere so I can apply the settings to the rest of the album. Thank you so much for your feedback thus-far!
UPDATED TOTALLY RE-MIXED VERSION THAT I'M FINALLY PROUD OF:
(Original Text: I tracked & am mixing this track: no real need for critique on the quality of the material/arrangement choices (although feel free to do so if so inclined, of course). Been working on this in some fashion for months, and am getting to the final stages and thus could use some input! I put it through a limiter just to raise the levels a bit, but it's not taking more than a db off of the bigger hits. The 2-bus compressor, however, is doing quite a bit of work!
Tracked through modest home studio gear (002/DigiMax LT, mostly cheap mics, etc.) in the band's practice space. Thanks for your time!
