I recently downloaded the Cakewalk sfz host, I'm having problems with it. I require multiple channel output, however sometimes this does not work. Most of the time only the main stereo outs appear on cubase. A memory warning comes up saying there is not enough memory to load the selected soundfont - which is complete bullshit.

I found a workaround for that, just changing the mode to anything but sf16 or sf32 - then everything loads. However I do have a problem still with getting multiple channels to work.

I have read several people having the same problems using this under Windows 7 64 bit, so I'm fed up with the program and would like to try another one.

Can you recommend any other soundfont VST hosts? I require multiple out and instrument support. I don't need any internal effects etc.

Thanks :)

May not be your cup of tea, but I use "VSampler". I use it on 32 and 64 bit machines. It can run as a VST or as it's own host. I have never found any memory difficulties with it.
I'm sure there must be a demo available.
