hey guys i was just wondering how to invert phase? is there a setting in pro-tools or a switch on the profire 2626?

You can use one of the Digirack EQ plugins to invert phase on a track. You should see the phase invert button on it. If there IS a button on the profire 2626, it's before the recording. The eq plugin is after.
Alternatively, if you want to switch the phase permanently AFTER the recording has been done, you can select the audio file(s) you want to flip the phase of, and go to Audiosuite>Other>Invert, and process them.

ah ok how to i get the digirack eq plugins, is it in pro-tools or do i have to download it? im just having problems recording with 2 mics at the same time, so i wanna reverse phase one of the tracks so that i dont get any interference between the two mics.

I think your idea of phase relationship might be a bit off. Interference should be already taken care of if you're using XLR cables with your mics. Flipping phase on one of two mics is due to the phase relationship of the sound going into the two mics. I'm sure somebody else will fill you in on this as I'm in a bit of a hurry.
And yeah, the digirack plugs come with pro tools. (Compressor/Limiter Dyn3, EQ Dyn3, Expander/Gate Dyn3 etc.)

You need to insert the plugin called "Trim".
It's a mono plugin, so if you're working on a stereo track you'll have to select "RTAS Multi-Mono Plugins".

Well, it's the least processor hungry plug-in of the lot. It has very few features, therefore is less likely to confuse a newbie. After all, it only does Gain, Mute and Polarity Invert (maybe one more thing... I forget).
I also felt that the OP wouldn't know what the Digirack plugins were, and since the plugins don't appear in the menu as "Digirack" it would be easier to find by naming the specific plugin.
Of course any of the plugins you mentioned would be fine but if it's only to flip polarity, I'd always use Trim. Makes it easier to keep track of exactly what the plugin is doing. Horses for courses, different strokes for different folk etc. etc!
