I am looking for an easy way to begin programming drum tracks. I do not currently have any drum software, other than what came with Garageband. It is very limited. I am looking for recommendations which are relatively easy to use and have authentic sound. Also, any thoughts on Logic vs. ProTools would be appreciated. I need more than Garageband can offer but am not sure which I should go with. I'm using a Macbook with an Apogee Duet. BTW, I am aware that only PT9 is compatible with the Duet. THANKS!!

if you can write out music or tabs try guitar pro it does everything or if u cant try ezdrummer ......as for protools or logic..........i dont have ether but i use traktion and i would go with protools cheers!!!

Thanks for the quick response. I'm really digging this website. Anyway, do you use EZ Drummer? Is it a collection of loops or fully programmable?
