Thanks man...that was the first mix, no tweaks or anything...it all just sat in straight from the start, for the first time

mixing + beer = good mix

please write down that formula :D

I wish it was only 3 or 4 cans.....i was dreading listening to it this morning as I was pretty gone by the time I made this thread...much to my wifes chagrin lol

must turn off PC during drinking/mixing process :)

and when she heard the "rock" bit

she just looked at me disappointingly and said "really?"

Ive got to get my own studio space :)

"kick the ball"? "deck the hall"? ...tried to sing along:confused: ...oh maybe that's 'English'! You know I don't speak that!

That's the closest to a "straight" beat (every pun intended) I've ever heard you use. Nice. :) Add some of my guitar, Joe's vox and bury the keys and you've got a winner here! :D

Holy Shnikees!! What's this? Some kinda rock/metal thing at the end! That's freakin' hilarious :laughings: You knew you had to pay homage because the rock gods were haunting you while you pissed and you said those horrible things about rock's girlfriend. I actually kinda liked that :o:o:o , but, then again I thought Spinal Tap was a real metal band back when I first rented the movie back in..198? I'm kind've a metal whore... I'll give almost anything a spin.

Where was I? oh yea, this is about YOU. I liked the groove (and not just the end). Nothing hurt my ears, not even that low rumbly thingy. The voices were nice, but I wanna hear your voice in the mix sometime. Good show mate! :D:cool::drunk:

that is my voice lol

Thanks Brad..the "metal" at the end was your fault after that conversation in your thread..I really enjoyed making that bit, i was pissing myself laughing at it...if its just a few chords and bars I can just about pull it off, but a whole song of my guitar/bass work would be pretty awful, and that "singing" hurt my throat :D

the clue for the sample is Motown...and its "Cant go on", though after me hacking it out of the song I lost a couple of bits :)

damn...you're fast, I was just on my third, post-post listen and I figured out that must be you at the end!! :laughings:

That drunk-mixing-hangover can be a bitch! :D

it didnt figure into the equation yesterday :D

hey maybe hungover/tracking is the new drunk/mixing

we've been through this before but Ill say it again. But I think your low end is mucking up the highs. yeah yeah I know we all want big bass and crisp highs. But you want have your cake and eat it too. So let em eat cake

Ill give it a good listen, prolly due a few tweaks as this was the first mix and tweak free :)

"Reach Out, I'll Be There", Four Tops, for the sample.
Loved your song - it almost hyp-mo-tized me...until the grunge death metal at the end!
