Hey guys. Im new to these forums, it looks like the right place for me to ask this...

I am producing a song right now and it has:
1. Lead Guitar
2. Clean Rhythm Guitar
3. Dist. Rhythm Guitar

Basically I want these three guitar tracks all to have different guitar tones. I will achieve these different tones using Guitar Rig 4.

However, when i add Guitar Rig onto the 2nd guitar track, I hear a TON of clicking and popping and i can barely hear anything else.

So is there any way that i can use the same plugin 3 different times on 3 different tracks?

Thanks!!!!

I dont think so, if the three guitars have three separate sounds you will need three instances of GR4. I'm not even sure if you could set it up on an FX channel and use sends, but that would only produce one sound 3X anyway. Have you tried increasing your buffer(s). Is your system always out of gas using one instance of GR4?

Thanks for the quick reply. Its fine when Im only running one instance of guitar rig... just when i go to 2 is when it freaks out.

WHen i am only running 1 guitar rig, my cpu is around 15-20%... so 2 shouldnt be making it max out, right?

I have also tried increasing my buffer, it didnt help.

Weird, I've had up to 5 or 6 instances of Amplitube 3 running at a time and it seems to be more of a system hog than GR4 so I don't think it would be a CPU problem...the program would just crash instead of glitching I'd think.

You're using a legit copy of GR4 right?
