How do you know? Do you talk to them before you rip them to pieces for your gay fat-free vinaigrette lady salad? :laughings:

you will pay for these remarks one day Gregory...one...day...Gregory

I eat enough dead animals to more than counter you're refusal to eat dead animals.

who says I dont kill animals?

I kill loads of things..I just dont eat them as they are fed on our piss and shit...open your eyes man..open...your...eyes

haha I thoroughly enjoy how many of you are kissing chili's ass in this thread yet I have pm's from alot of the same people asking for the links hahahahah. ps chili from what I hear you sure could use some drum samples.

You're listening?? Cool. Those are samples. SSD competition. :p

and so, because of this:

I must have downloaded them from a torrent site

You're outta here. This site does not condone piracy.

(Disclaimer: Yes, my little avatar thingy says Irish Pirate - that's about drinking rum and sailing boats. lol Must explain for the simple-minded)

Hey Steven Slate guy, I respect the fact that you are a business and profit is the bottom line, but you sample guys are ruining the noble art of recording acoustic drums properly.

Hey, snare sounds bad? Don't move the mic, don't re-tune, don't re-track....we got samples! :laughings: :laughings:

I kill loads of animals and enjoy it because you dont, so take that you hippie fag

Not me. I said you don't eat them. Try to keep up here. You're obviously lacking protein.

me keep up?

the human excrement in your fish diet has given you mad human disease..or "going Texan" as we like to call it in medical circles

or going full drummer...thats what retards call it....

and by retard I dont mean mentally disabled people I mean french people who are late....

First off, i've been browsing through the forum and you guys seem to have a lot of great discussions here.. so although I was lured here under less then ideal circumstances, I hope you guys don't mind if I hang and talk shop every now and then.

Douche, I'm sure you're reading this and all I can say is I wish you the best. Given that our relationship has been exclusively virtual and anonymous on your part, I don't have the ability to figure out what demons inside you have caused you to act out in the way you did. I hope you get healed somehow (perhaps you need a puppy). I'm a real big fan of the Golden rule, and its sister law of karma. Sorry to be preachy, but think about it.

I checked our April 2009 records and don't see any triple charges, nor double charges, but if you still feel like you have a case, I'd be glad to help you out. Sending me a credit card statement is a good start. But please wait till I'm out of the tanning booth.

As for drum samples.. while i know the post was in somewhat jest, my advice is to never use them unless you feel it will enhance your mix in a way that sounds right to you. My friend Ross Hogarth has what I think is the best saying for anyone in pro audio, which is, "whatever works". If your snare is working as is, leave it alone and press play. If you're mixing a metal album and the drummer used a piccolo but the producer tells you he wants the snare to sound like Zeuss is playing.. ehhhh... might think about using a sample or three. Whatever works and gets you the gig.

this ain't "talking shop". :laughings:

any thoughts on the REAPER business model?

Hello Steven and welcome.

Your not handing out free samples are you? Just kidding, Just kidding.

I know of three studios with in an hour of mine and they all have products of yours and they swear by them.

Try to set a few minutes a side of every day and come on to the forum to relax and chat for a while, if for anything else but to get a jest of what the guys out here in the trenches are wanting and talking about.

Bonjour Steven I have a $20 package of yours that was sold a few months back. I think it's first class. I use the kick all the time and like the snares and toms. I am using vintage drums with calf heads and wish they had samples of them.
Also I use mainly 50's K's and those cymbals have never been captured well IM(seldom H)O.

< interlude please enjoy snacks >

This whole thread comes at a funny time for me... yesterday I was shoplifting at Sears and got a whole bunch of stuff in the wrong sizes (I get on a roll!) and was thinking of posting that here to give away and now with all this I'm not even sure if that would be cool... All I can say is some fuckin' party this turned out to be.

This place used to be fun. :) Now we can't even give away stolen goods?

SEE ~ look at how relaxed EZ is. He is usually caged and he's not even drugged at the moment! :laughings:

Pretty cool that Stevie-boy himself chimed in here. Hope you stick around, man!

I question the very legality of not being able to sell or give away stolen goods on this site.

If I steal something, isn't it legally mine?

Steven Slate is a fan of my Trident HG3 Monitors, so I'm obviously on his side on this issue. :drunk:
