Hi all ive been directed here from Line6 website and hopefully someone maybe able to point me in the right direction.
I have taught myself to play a bit on the guitar since october last year and like to use my UX1 for recording youtube videos etc as a bit of fun. I have used both my amp and the interface out put and it sounds not too bad with the effects i add but when i render and save the sound is not great either too loud that everything becomes distorted or too low that 100% volume on pc/laptop etc can hardly be heard so any thoughts would be great ..

Heres a couple of tunes ive like i said im a guitar newbie and i sing for fun

I cant get that youtube video to go for more than a few seconds...maybe its my connection??

so without hearing it Im just going to shoot a couple of basic ideas...when mixing your guitar and vocals try not to mix too hot...say keep it around -12-14 db with peaks hitting say -6-8db...plenty of headroom

bounce it down to a stereo audion file then reinsert it into your daw as a separate file....stick a limiter on it with say around a -3db ceiling and use gentle compressor in front of it and the limiters thresh-hold to bring up the tracks volume...even on something as simple as this you'll get better results than just the volume of the track bounced..

also depending on the sites kbps it can introduce some unwanted sounds when its compressed and uploaded..

also what are you listening to it on? remember things like basic pc speakers or built in speakers only reproduce mids....to hear lows and high frequencies you have to turn the volume up and with that comes inevitable distortion....if you want this just to be heard on pc or laptop speakers then you need to EQ the track as such, but you will be mixing towards the lowest common denominator...

maybe someone else will be able to hear it and pipe in :)
