Microphone Kit For Under $150

Hi, I'm looking for a decent microphone set for under $150/100 or $200 at the most. Since USB microphones are bad, let's try other microphones. I need a good microphone with cardioid for vocals, podcasting, and voiceovers - more patterns would be nice, though - a pop filter, a floor stand (most come with a desk stand), and a shockmount if available. I would also need a mixer and an audio interface. Zero-latency output, maybe? Can anyone recommend a microphone for this?

I have not tried this mic...but at that price....and if I was on that budget...I would consider it for sure.... look at www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid ....its an MXL 992

The SM58 looks the coolest out of the above. It seems like a nice microphone but if I add in a small mixer, an audio interface, some sort of stand, or a shockmount (if required), then wouldn't it add up to over the budget?

All of what you just mentioned can be had used at more than 50% of the going street value.
Try ebay,craigs list or right here on HR under the forum free ads.

But then again, that setup would be over the budget ($220+) and I don't want to go that high. I guess I'll have to keep looking. I'm not really a professional. At first, I was thinking about getting the AT2020 XLR with a shockmount and stand. Then I thought about getting the Blue Yeti USB, even though it won't have the best preamp, it would be a little more portable in case I ever need to move around and it would have more features. Now, I thought that I would need a mixer setup and save more money this way and yes, I have taken a look at the microphones under $100 thread. I've also heard of the Blue Icicle which allows me to use XLR mics via USB. It's only $10 less than the mixer.

I'm going to have a look at a few audio samples online with the MXL 992 and the MXL V67g.
