Aloha, I am having problems with taking old tapes of lectures and making them into MP3s. I have my tape deck plugged into my sound card, with my monitors coming out of my sound card. I am using Sonar to record it and have my I/O set up.

I have it all setup where I can record and convert it just fine the only problem is that when I am recording I can not hear the lecture for on-the-fly mixing. If I stop the recording and play it back then it comes out over my out put but how can I make it come out when recording.

Yeah, I spent an hour checking an rechecking my hardware and software setup, replacing cords, etc. The input echo was about the only thing I did not check...I think I should just all it a day and go to bed even though it is only 11:35am...lol.

yeah yeah yeah I know I am just a kid at all this stuff. :p
