hey guys im new to recording and i have a behringer x2442usb and i just ordered the digidesign mbox 2 mini, i was wondering what cables i need to hook up the mixer to the interface and where the cables go. itll be in thursday so i cant work on it just yet but i want to know before i get it so i dont get frustrated with it. thanks.

Hello bdrum...do you already have pro tools?
My understanding of your question with my answer is that you would have to come out of your mixer mains left and right and go into the mbox left and right then to your computer via usb.

sorry if its not clear, i have a hard time asking questions about this type of stuff when you cant see it, no i dont have pro tools yet, but pro tools comes with the mbox, so its the mini and the only left and rights it has say Mon L and R, i hope you can see it in the picture.

Yes that would be for your monitors.
My understanding is that you can use input 1 and 2 as an input from your mixer.Note that it also says LINE.
So when your all said and done if your feeding your mixer multi inputs ...you ultimately end up with only 2 channels (left and right) out side of the box but if you track and record 1 or two channels at a time you'll have multi tracks in the box to mix at the end.
