I just read about them. Seems like if you have the compatible hardware (using the EFI-X thingy) then everything's ok.

There is a lot of work that goes into making it work. The companies who did it are mostly sued and shutdown. The EULA of OSX forbids doing what has to be done, and towards the end of last year a court upheld Apple's argument...most likely due to shady practices by the other party involved.

Though slightly different, Psystar’s solution could also be considering aiding the consumer to break Apple’s EULA, which reads, “You agree not to install, use or run the Apple Software on any non-Apple-labeled computer, or to enable others to do so.”
Pretty funny. Couple years ago there was a Mac TV spot that stated "The best Windows machine is a Mac".
