help bout some vocal effects..

hih there...

I'm new here...I'm from bangladesh,Dhaka...I do rap and R n b...so I start here asking how do I get that vocal effect that many song have??I mean there are a lot of techno song or house song even r n b or hip hop that have that strange effect on the vocal...I mean let's say there is a sang part like "OHHH BABYYYYY" so the effect is like"OHHH BABY-Y-Y-Y-Y" that sounds like a synth that reapets...I really don't know how to explain it to you guys...nor I can recall any song that has that effect right now...how you'll get the idea of what I'm trying to ask...
 
Go to Youtube and search for vocal stuttering. There are plenty of tutorials that will show you using your DAW.
 
Or you can make a volume envelope in your DAW and make a square wave on your audio.
 
Thanks man!!!the word was "vocal shuttering" since I didn't know how that effect was called i couldn't find that much on internet...Besides I'm too lazy to find out by myself...thanks man apriciate your help...one more thing bout the vocal...

I wanted to know how do I get the effect present on the hook of the song

so the hook goes like this " Ba-Ba-B-Ba-Bang time OH bang time Bang time oh"
or whatever...but note that the "OH" is kinda different...is like a whole crowd screaming "OH' at the same time...I tried with things like a lot of takes of the same thing panned here and there but still it ain't enough to get that kind of effect...maybe some eq or compressing or I don't know...please help me out...and thanks really for the help...
