Love the guitars. Great little funky groove. I didn't actually miss the vocals, it works really well as it is. Caught me out there coming back from the fill @ 3.10. This sounds like the kind of tune TV sports channels put over a collage of big hits in football or Indy car smashs.

How could you not love a song about a fish? :D

What you have so far sounds good, but it needs something else. It does get a little monotonous. I kept waiting for one of your face melting guitar solos, but alas, it never came. I must admit some disappointment with that. Oh, and the bass could come up a tad.

Thanks Bulls...yeah, I'm kinda torn on this one, thast why I stopped and posted for feedback...I have some lyrics started...but not sure if I wanna go that way , or keep it instrumental and go in that direction with some kind of melodic part over what I already have...we shall see....thanks for listening!

Ha! Face melter in the Que!Just haven't decided were and how long yet....bass sounds to low to you? I will look at that as I was really trying to get a good drum/bass guitar mix on this before I went further...
Thanks for the feedback!!

I'm a great fish lover myself....fried, grilled, steamed....:D

What a great recording this is Queep. Those drums sound lovely and crisp and your guitar playing is ace. Like I've said lots of times before, I love your original stuff.....and you should sell this to some TV station!

Joey :)

Good song. Drums and bass sound great. The guitar is decent, but I wouldn't start double tracking the guitars until the verse comes in. It sounded a little too jumpy. It would be cooler if you took that second guitar part out in the intro and replace it with a harmony.

Listening as I type...

Drums sound good - punchy but with some ambience. Liking the wah guitar on the right. When the 2nd guitar joins in on the left at the very begining it seems a bit loud and/or disjointed for a sec or two until it settles in nicely.

I'd be happy as a listener either hearing an instrumental melody over this or lyrics...whichever - preferably both :)!

The wah guitar or some other track close to it on the right starts doing the crazy little digital squeeling pitch shifty trails at the end that sound really cool. Maybe just an "auto wah" thing? Me likey.

This sounds like it could be in some 70's cop porn. Love it, queepy. Great growly bass tone. Drums sound awesome. Really good mix. I'd say keep it an instrumental and do some tasteful "vocal" guitar noodling with different effects and shit. Great job dude.

Nice call on the guitar double tracking in the intro, I cut that out as you suggested in the new mix I'm working on and it does sound much tighter....not sure if Im going to replace it with anything or leave as is...
Thanks for listening and the feedback!!

Thanks HM! I did use my auto wah for one of the guitar tracks (from my podxtl)...the other guitar has some wacky effect from the pod called "Random sample and hold"...kinda makes cool randon bubbly blips and burps :D...works cool when you set the tempo to the bpm of the song ....took that 2nd guitar outta the intro on the mix Im working on now...think it sounds much better/tighter....

Ha, I dig me some 70's cop porn :laughings:...I'm pretty happy with the drums and bass guitar as well....working on a melodic "vocal" type guitar part now...shuld be interesting...thanks for checking it!

Very cool. The drums sound really good to my ears, do you mind sharing how you get your drum sounds? Any tips, tricks, etc?

If you can line up Anthony Kiedis to come in and lay down a nice vocal over that, I'd go for it, otherwise I might just keep it as an instrumental :D

Damn! Your rhythm section has just got it goin' on like Donkey Kong; ... got your big 'ole **** swingin' out there makin' us all look bad!! :o Yea, man, the drums and bass just sound great. You had better start divulging a few secrets here about this lethal concoction. The Wah-guit is very fitting and well played. I would either go more extreme modulation/wah on those power chords or turn off the wah altogether -just to mix it up- or not :). I could hear this on a demo track for a new-music-gear-thingamajiggy!
