This was my father's favorite song of mine. We used to sing it together.

He's never heard this ... as I felt I could never do justice to it recording-wise until I learned more ...

... but I learned more too late.

I don't play this for my Mom ... for she would remember and it would be hard on her.

Pity, Kev....he would have been real proud of you.
It's as good as everything we're used to hearing from you. And wherever he is, he's definitely looking down on you, just look inside your heart......

Joey :):):):)

Great pipes, Kev.
Marvelous performance!

Trust the Irish to know Irish sentimentality. :)

I took my guitar to the western furthest most point of Ireland ... where the cliffs are the highest on the Atlantic of all.

I played guitar in the Irish pub there and sang Beatles songs they'd never heard before.

I listened to 80 year old Martin sing traditional Irish songs ... in a voice as strong, pure and in tune as a man half his age (after his usual Jameson, of course).

In the back of the pub, the bagpipe band of Irish youngsters honored Scotland and Ireland's common heritage and practiced for an upcoming competition.

It was a wonderful trip ... and I did it only a couple years ago.

His energy is in me, Joey ... and he talks to me in my dreams.

He'll be alive as long as his memory lingers. He was a wonderful father.

Nice work/composition K-dub....lot's interesting changes, and feeling.

Sorry about your dad...it's obvious he had reason to be proud of you.

Great song Kevin, interesting and unpredictable-I like that a lot! The vocal delivery reminds me of both Elvis Costello and Billy Joel-good stuff.

Thanks, Mick. He was ... and he let me know how he felt.

Thanks Tony! I get the Billy Joel comparison on the time, but this is the first time anyone linked me w/ EC. Cool.

It also reminded me of early McCartney (RAM) Sometimes simple is just best and this proves it. I would love to see this done live at a small club.

cheers!!!

Ahhh, the cliffs of Mohr. What a setting. I took my son there for 10 days of taking in our Irish heritage. Sipping Jameson and Finches, listening to the locals play their fiddles, mandos, and guitars. What a time. The memories will last forever. Nice tribute to your father!

My daughter lived in Dublin for 3+ years until the global downturn took her job ...

With her Visa unsupported, she was forced to return home.

But she crawled all over the island while there, and knew all the best places to visit.

Absolutely loved Dublin! What a great town. We took in Rugby games, sipped Guinness and Jamesons with the locals, went to Irish Folk concerts, wandered the streets taking in the old cathedrals and other architecture. What a time. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Her love is the Irish people and their culture. They talk to each other w/o reservation.

Nice work Kev. Absolutely love the bass on this...a nice thinck smooth McCartney-like sound. The variety of organ/keyboard/synth(?) sounds add a ton of texture. About 2/3rds of the way through you hold this one note forever (unwavering I might add) while the music descends beneath it and the was pretty freakin' incredible.
