In a creative spurt I composed 10 guitar based songs, some w/vocals ,some instrumentals, diverse styles.....can I record my guitar parts and then have someone more experienced add drums?
Im going to need bass and synth for some but what worries me is the drums.
thanks

Yes . . . you can add drums later.

You can make life easier for the drummer by recording to a click track

You can record anything in any order, but what you record first constrains what can happen later. Record to a click track or looped drums, and be sure to include a count off or click at the start. Good looped drums will be better in that your guitar parts will have a more realistic feel. Make sure your tuning is perfect so anything else added fits.

My general preference is to record drums first, usually along with a scratch bass and sometimes a direct guitar and/or vocal. Then I go back and re-track everything over the drums.
