It sounds great! The performance and mix!

Your success with recording the drums, just goes to show what can happen, when a seeker of knowledge actually applies the techniques, presented to them..;)

Thanks, true-eurt! Doesn't do much good to ask for advice (especially from people who are doing things *MUCH* better than I am), if I don't take it, apply it, and see what happens with it.

So far, each and every piece of good advice I've taken and applied (upwards of 10 specific things for my studio now) has yielded me great results.

The latest one is putting my mixing station in the middle of the wall, instead of in the corner. I already am noticing the mix sounds either better or worse because of it, depending on the mix itself.

Thanks for listening and commenting!

Awesome. Keep dispelling the microsoft myth. Sounds great.

Thanks, nave! I've been happy as a clam with ardour / jamin and Linux, but man... I downloaded and used Reaper a couple of weeks ago, and to be completely honest, it's by far the most compelling DAW I've used in years - especially for the price.

For now, I'm continuing my use of ardour, but the more I use Reaper, the more I'm seriously considering a switch.
