As always, Greg, your musicianship and production is way up there. First impressions, Ramones on a slow day.

Your professionalism, I'm sure, is a two edged sword. On the one hand, I'm inspired to lift my game and do better. On the other hand, I fear I could struggle for a lifetime, and never produce anything in the same league.

Production is fantastic, everything sounds awesome. Different from your usual stuff, but definitely as much fun. And the lyrics are good too for a change haha. The only thing that didn't work for me were the vocals. But everything else is great. Dammit, every time i pass by a fast food joint the song starts playing!

The intro chords remind me of Pretty in Pink by the Furs. Your vocal sounds like Joey Ramone. Other than that, it's all you. :D Funny lyics. Good stuff
Fuck me, it does kind of sound like that dumb Pretty in Pink song. It's not intentional. :(

Thanks for listening.

i'm only listening on crappy laptop speakers, but the whole mix seems to just sound really tiny. liek it's all upper-mids and no low end. it also sounds very quiet and hard to hear, and a little compressed/distorted/fizzly and not too clear. also the stereo field seems really narrow. and i can't hear the kick drum or bass at all. but other than that it's pretty good.
You should listen with one earbud. It'll sound good then. ;)

Lol. Thanks, but don't sweat it. When I first got here I had the same problem. I was blown away at how good some people's stuff was while my stuff was garbage. I just kept working at it. I'm still improving. You can't ever stop.

Haha, thanks. I don't know what's wrong with the vocals. You mean how I sing it, or how they sit in the mix? The singing i can't do anything about. I suck. I can fix the mix though.

No the mix seems fine, they sit perfectly. The singing on the rest of your tracks isn't bad at all. It isn't bad here either, i just felt it could have been a little better i guess? Hell, maybe it's just one of those things i pick up for no reason :)
And yeah, you do sound like Joey Ramone.

Okay thanks. I actually "sing" on this one, which is a lot different from my usual semi-on-pitch yelling. My singing isn't good. I know this, but I do it anyway. Fuck it. It's only rock and roll. :D

So cool man rock on:)
Thanks chicken man. :)

Well done Greg. The music is tight. Really well done on the background vocals. The lead vocals struck me as maybe less confident sounding than some of your other tracks, but still solid nonetheless. Is this really a ballad? I think of them as slower...and gayer, but maybe compared to your usual stuff it qualifies. Solid.

IDK, this song just seems to drag, it's not 160bpm with double kick rolls.

Good song and a nice change of pace without falling out of your well-established groove. Has anyone mentioned the crash cymbals yet? I thought they came across kind of strong and felt they could sit back in the mix more. If it was an ass-kickin' rocker, I can see them being up in front, but on this song, they should be back a bit.

BG vox are great!!

You never fail to deliver the goods!!!

Cool,

Thanks dude. I think maybe in a different key I could sing this better. The music and arrangement was done before I put one word on paper. I guess it is what it is. The vocals aren't so bad to me that I feel I need to retrack them right now. Maybe before it actually makes it onto an album I might redo it. Thanks for listening.

Thanks dude. I'll take a look at those overhead tracks. :)

LOL What a funny song. Sounds good dude. A lot like the Ramones.

Thanks dude. Obviously the Ramones are huge influence on me and I tried to mimic their guitar style on this one. :D

It seems the jokey, thrown together songs I do get the best response. :laughings:

Bloody Great Greg! Hell, just reading the lyrics made my cholesterol raise a dozen points--Ha! Seriously tho, it all sounded extremely well done-and the vocals made me think of Joey Ramone.

I actually was watching the 'Rock & Roll High School' movie the other night so the Ramones sound was fresh in my mind-Dude-you nailed it!

Haha, thanks dude. I don't try to sound anything like Joey Ramone, but I did try to make the overall song sound like the Ramones. :D

well you can over think a subject...not that you'll ever be accused of that ;)

fast, fun, instantly sing-alongable......that's real talent :)
