Totly agree.
I would say that if you found your repair to effect the playability or tone then it may not have gone too well. Even bad breaks can be put back so they work well. You may have been unlucky.
the neck tension eventually pulled the repair apart. i was endorsed by gibson at the time so i just pulled the electronics and hardware and through it away. never did get another LP though and that was my favorite bass of all time.![]()

Lets not over complicate the prognosis for the OP here. Let him get some pics up before we berate him too much and flame him for having medlin' kids.![]()
No, no, I wasn't suggesting that they were similar breaks, I just remembered a really impressive repair of something that looked pretty hopeless to me.
Well you have to look on the bright side sometimes. The OP is probably still feeling shit about it. As a parent of kids that age I feel his pain.![]()
I completely blame the adult in this case.
I feel sorry for him,but you shouldn't leave anything so valuable anywhere a kid can get his hands on it.
My kids are a little older,I'm looking forward to new problems.....![]()

One of mine??
I by no means a luthier and I took a chance fixing the neck on an old Yamaha acoustic.
