Need Help With My Connections!!!!

Hi, i just put together my home studio, and can't get any sound or signal from my computer. The connections i made are: Midi keyboard to sound module, sound module line out to my digital recorder, digital recorder midi in and out to presonus firebox audio interface, firebox to computer running cubase4. My monitors are out from my digital recorder. I could get sound from my recorder using the midi keyboard, but no signal to cubase. What connections should i make to have everything working together correctly? Please help!!!! Thanks.

If you have midi out from digital recorder to firebox (and then into Cubase), then you are only recording midi, not audio.

You could make your life easier by simplifying the chain.

Try:

midi keyboard (midi) > sound module (audio) > firebox > computer and cubase. Monitor from the firebox.

The other thing worth doing is going from keyboard (midi out) into firebox, then firebox (midi out) to sound module, and sound module audio out into the firebox. That way you can record the midi in cubase and edit it, then use cubase to drive the sound module and record the audio from that.
