Hey guys,

I posted the instrumental version of this a few weeks ago and got alot of help from y'all,

I got around to putting the vocals on it. As I always do, I mixed right after finishing tracking, which is never a good idea. But I figure either way, I'm going to go back and re-mix, so I might as well get people's opinions of what I might not be noticing, no matter how obvious it may be.

So, fire away and let me know what you like or don't like about the miix, etc....

Thanx.

ThruYoHed

Well sung -- great song! Sophie and I are moshing.

The lead vox is buried on our setup -- want to hear it come forward a bit - probably a little louder.

The background vocals sound really good

Thanx Chef! FUnny, the last thnig I recorded was vocals, so I couldn't get a good perspective of the volume when I mixed. That's why I probably should have waited.

Here's the lyrics in case anyone cares:

Thruyohed (words and music by RAMI)

You want a revolution and you're taking a stand
Because you're the man the man with the plan
And you think you're a jet you're like a bat of hell
Someone get in your way someone don't feel so well
You'll be the jury and you'll be the judge
Going to be armed with anger hate and a nasty grudge
Fill your pockets with other people's money and smile while you shake my hand

You say it's pure evolution but you're just the new boss
The old boss a prophet of losses
You don't really care if they live or they die
Look at the numbers don't look in their eyes
You got the power you're out of control
So save all your money and sell your soul
And you're never going to change a thing while everybody's screaming “Got to kill the King!”

Number one with a bullet line them up and blow them away one shot

Chorus
Get it through your head one shot one shiver
Right through your head
Get it right through your head

You say you got a solution but you're living a lie
No wonder why it's passing you by
You're just looking out for number one all the way
From your first cigarette to your last night and day
Now you're in charge and you know you're right
But you're on the other side of the same old fight
Get it through your head one shot one shiver

Number one with a bullet line them up and blow them away one shot

Chorus
Get it through your head one shot one shiver
Right through your head
Get it right through your head

Number one with a bullet line them up and blow them away one shot

Chorus
Get it through your head one shot one shiver
Right through your head
Get it right through your head

Chorus
Get it through your head
Get it through your head
Right through your head
Get it right through your head

Chorus
Get it through your head
Get it through your head
Get it through your head
Get it right through your head

Awesome! This is my new favorite Rami tune. I think the mix is pretty good. I like the vocals just as they are. The only thing I'd like to hear differently is maybe during the "Number one with a bullet line them up and blow them away one shot" passages have another heavy duty guitar part in there. Something really overdriven. That's just me though. I love the choruses. Great song dude.

Cool tune Rami.

A real rocker, works very well, great playing and killer guitar sound, still using the yamaha stomp?

On a personal level I`d like to hear more (bigger)bassdrum, more baffle (zepplin style) if it makes any sense:)
I just think it might suit the tune.

Nice to hear a new Rami track again:cool:

You were right about the phased drums - good instincts mate.
Some VERY clever word play in this as well.
I can understand what Greg means with the possible inclusion of an extra guitar for that line but I quite like it as it is.
As usual as super tight bottom end.
No hint of country rock?
You've obviously sussed out your new room arrangement as this is a terrific capture.
An album imminent?

Thanx alot Gregster. I see what you mean about something picking up the "bridge" part. If I had thought of it while tracking, it's a great idea. At this point, I don't think it's worth going back for, though. Thanx for compliments, man.

Thanx Nak! How's the new album doing???

Yes, I'm still using the Yamaha DG Stomp. I guess a bigger bass drum would work on this, but I hear this more like "Highway Star" than Zeppelin, so I wanted a tight bass drum. Thanx dude.

Hey ray! Thanx for the listen and comments. I should be getting another album out in the next few weeks. No Country Rock. I might play that stuff in a cover band, but I don't have to like it. :D

One Shot, One Shiver... I like that line.

The line that says "And you're never going to change a thing..." sounds crammed and I suggest going with "Won't" instead of "Never going to".

The bass seems to overpower the kick just a little. Like the vocals where they are. Love the flanged drums, but I said that before.

Cool tune Rami!!!

Thanx a lot Chili. That line you're talking about was something I thought about for a while. I'm aware of all the options I had to not make it sound so "crammed". I could have dropped a word or two from it. In the end, I decided to keep it the way it is simply because I thought it sounded pretty cool rythmically. But, the fact that it stood out enough for you to notice means that I might re-think it again.

I'll also experiment with turning down the bass and/or turning up the kik.
Thanx for the advice, man.

Another great song and performance,Rami.
Perfect job on mix.

Ciro

That's an awesome song Rami. I really like it. The drums and all round mix is top shelf. Keep em' coming man.

Sounds great Rami - now I see where the phased drums come in...nice touch. No issues for me overall sounds tight and really rocks....:):)

Thanx alot for the encouragement guys. I never know if my songs suck or not until I post them and get some opinions and advice. I really appreciate that.

Man, great job! I love it just the way it is, tight kick, phased snare and all. Great vocals, as always. You always come up with some complicated/intricate melodies with your vocals and they always work!

Great job!!!!

But we expect that from you... ;)

Real high-energy here Rami!

Drums sound awesome. Guitars have a nice lo-mid growl to them...the solo has a cool kind of squawking quality to it...like it was run through a wah, set mid-low and just left there. I dunno, but it sounds smooth.

Performance is super tight and the production is fine. I don't hear any issues. Like the ending. Nice job :).

Kick-ass...that's the only way to describe it!
Great hookline, Rami, love it! You've got a great voice and the harmonies are spot on. No nits, just joy......;)
Joey :):):):)

Good song! It was catchy and mixed well.

My only complaint is that a few of the cymbal crashes came through a little shrill. I might taper of the low end of those a little. (Though I'm listening through cheap headphones, so that should be taken with a grain of salt.)

Nice work!

Cool to hear a Rami jam!! Tight performance and mix....as one comes to expect from your music......dig the flangy drum break around 2:30!!......nice job!
