Hat STYLE. Not contents.
My only complaint is the distinct lack of folks around for me to mosh while listening to it!
Nice work.
Nice work.
Thanks man!Wow, great job. Mix sounds fantastic to me. Cool tune too.
Thanks. I can't/won't mosh anymore. I used to laugh at the 30-something yr old guys trying to mosh at punk rock shows. Now I am that guy.My only complaint is the distinct lack of folks around for me to mosh while listening to it!
Nice work.
As usual, GREAT!!! I can see why you were tempted to treat it like a rockabilly tune, because it has that rythm to it. But it's definitely punk-a-billy.
Everything sounds great, man. Wish I could help you more than that.
Ah ... you did find something you liked. Cool. I'll listen later ... still at work.

Hey Greg. Very cool song. I hear CKY in there. I know you don't know who they are, but I do. Anyway, the one thing I noticed, during the chorus, you play a minor chord on the guitar, and back it up with a major chord on the bass, and that kind of sounds weird/aquard. Other than that, great song as usual.
-Adam.
Yet again, you prove if you want your song to sound great, you've gotta have a great song and play it well.
I listened to the 2nd mix and love it. Nothing to nitpick on. <dammit, I love nitpicking>
Hmmm, Lyme disease.... named after my hometown. No shit.![]()
Thanks dude. I'll look into that sibilance.Ridiculously awesome! Love this song. The only thing i find is a little sibilance on your voice. Nothing major. Great work as always, bud.
Lol. Thanks bud. I don't even know what lyme disease is. It's something with bugs, right? As I was writing the lyrics, my wife was watching something on the discovery channel and they kept saying "lyme disease". So I thought, I don't know what it is, but it sounds bad...yet tasty...cuz I like limes.Yet again, you prove if you want your song to sound great, you've gotta have a great song and play it well.

Greg,
SG eh? Funny, I can see you with an SG. Don't know if I could picture you with a Tele though!
Playing majors under minors - well, to tell you the truth it's horses for courses. I often like the tension it creates.
To do it "legit" all you have to do is make sure you're hitting the same notes in the bass run as in the chord. Then again, my bass lines are so full of grace notes, (notes that aren't in the right key/chord but are passed through on route), I consider my bass playing graceful!
Too many years listening to odd music - I can't tell anymore.
The new mix & new guitar sounds are great. I didn't do an A - B because this sounded "right"!
Thanks dude. Welcome back.Due to legal and family problems haven't been able to be recording or checking the forums for the past 6 months...
...and it's great to come back and find this from you Greg
Well done, balanced mix, catchy rhythm, awesome and funny lyrics...can I say more; IMO another great Greg production
Congrats mate!
Thanks Grape. So you're using the snare is too loud? Maybe, but I like loud drums (I'm a drummer). Too many people put too much emphasis on guitars and vocals and bury the poor drums. I'm bringing them back!Nice nice nice nice nice mix.
The ONLY thing is the snare. It has too much character imo.
I didnt really notice it at first but I heard the snare started sticking out too much later on in the song.

Lyme Disease, named for Lyme, CT is tick born. It's early symptoms are generally mild, but the long term impact on health is disastrous. Untreated, it will cause premature death.
We're very aware of it around here, as just about everyone who lives in CT country will get bitten by a tick at some point. Everyone in my family has already caught Lyme and been treated. I caught another even more rare tick disease called erlichiosis and it put me in the hospital for a week in 05. There are only a half dozen cases of it nationwide, and I was one of the lucky ones that year.
I'm thankful I didn't die, as that one is more quickly fatal.
But enough tick talk ... (yes that was intended)
The guitars are now perfect on this, just enough bite w/o wince. Personally, you could make more changes, but very very few would notice any real difference. This is done, imo.
