I just scored 2 Shure 565 unisphere1 mics for $30...they actually had some sm57s for $80 and wouldnt budge on them...but they put these in an old box with some old mics that werent very good...but I think I did OK here...lol.
I'd take the 565s over the newer ics any day of the week. The older Shure mics were better for recording, IMHO.

On the Today Show they were doing a segment on Woodstock...everybody was using these there...they are the old ones...Id say mid 60s.

Its changing...I even saw a show with an Eagles tribute band...they need a Lynerd Skynrd one.
Who knows who used those mics...all sorts of celebs worked in that town in the 60s-70s.
