OK, it's a pre-'95 Zildjian (no serial #) marked 'MEDIUM THIN CRASH 16"/40cm'...any way of further identifying it? Guy selling it says he thinks it's a Zildjian A and wants $60:

I'm not sure, but I think it's a Zildjian 16" Medium Thin Crash.

No serial number...that started in '94-'95.

well, if it were me, if the cymbal sounded good I'd buy it for $60 no matter what model or year it is. If it's an internet thing where you couldn't hear it before purchase, well, I wouldn't buy a cymbal that I couldn't hear first.

Yeah...it's an A.Zildjian 16" Medium Thin Crash. For $60, if no keyholing or cracks, take it...

I swear I have that same cymbal at the house. I'll check when I get home.

Yeah, he says no problems. Sounded good to me.

Another guy's got a no probs 20" A Custom for $100. Is that as good a deal as it sounds?

Those are all good prices.

I'd forget the year, serial number... all the "what it's called stuff" and go entirely on whether it was useful cymbal to have.

From the pick it looks like a Zildjian. You might want to have him take closer picks to be sure. HEHEHE! I'm not sure of the year they started with the number stuff. Like it has been said, if it sounds good I would buy it.
