Very welll done Kainz....nice atmosphere.
Welcome back to HR
Is it me or do I detect some background hiss?
Many thanks for your efforts, I for one appreciate it very much.
Cheers.
Whee, a reply
You mean the noise at the beginning? When the guitar is solo? Or overall background noise? I can't hear any background noise nor should there be any effects wich could cause it, hmh.. well I'll check it out later - if nothing else but just out of curiousity.
On the other hand, if you mean the noise at the beginning when the guitar is solo: It is your guitar track wich is, frankly, rather badly recorded

. When you boost the highs in it the noise shows its ugly face. I tried to edit it away (eg. cut out everything else except the parts where the guitar is playing), but it really didn't work - it sounded too unconsistent and "chopped out". So I ended up only expanding the track instead of gating. When other instruments are playing this isn't any issue and I did gate it.
EDIT: With what are you listening it btw? Just figured out that on some systems that "ooh-aah synth"
might be reproducing somewhat hissy (if speakers/phones can't reproduce high-end well enough). I did push it up to float rather up in spectrum, maby bit too high for "normal" boombox/carstereo. Just out of curiousity, have to check it in my car sooner or later. I have only listened it on my AKG702 and Dynaudio BM6A, can't spot any hiss with those (excluding the guitar hiss at the beginning).
EDIT 2: I did tweak the mix a bit, got rid of that annoying mid tone bump (might have gone bit too far with it though heh) and balanced out the high-end energy to sit bit more lower.
Feel free to listen it out. Do you still hear the hiss?
